Such evaluations and grades are the prerogative of the instructor and are not subject to formal appeal unless there is compelling evidence of discrimination, arbitrary or capricious action, and/or procedural irregularities. Students should seek solutions for grade disputes through the following administrative channels, in the order stated: • Grade disputes should be directed to the course instructor. • If the grade dispute is unresolved, the dispute can be appealed to the course director for review. • If the student is not satisfied with the result of the grade review, the student can request a final review to be conducted by the program director, who may assemble an ad hoc committee for the final review. In all appeals regarding a grade dispute, the decision of the program director, or designee, is final. Program Policies Academic Remediation There is no opportunity to remediate a failed course in the M.B.S. program. Graduation Requirements Degrees are awarded when the faculty members believe the students have attained sufficient maturity of thought and proficiencies as demonstrated by satisfactorily completion of a prescribed number of courses.
