In order to resolve academic grievances, complaints, and concerns in an expeditious, fair, and amicable manner, students are asked to consult their respective college or school catalog/student handbook for information on the appropriate grievance procedures. This link provides contact information for each NSU academic unit. Students are urged to exhaust all possible internal avenues for resolution before filing complaints with external agencies.
In the unlikely event that an issue cannot be resolved by the University, students may file a complaint with their respective State licensing authority. This link provides contact information for each state agency, as well as links to their grievance procedures. Unresolved complaints may also be filed with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the University’s regional accrediting agency, once all internal avenues have been exhausted.
