At Nova Southeastern University, we uphold innovation, inquiry, and academic excellence as fundamental values. The Provost's Research and Scholarship Awards (PRSA) underscore our dedication to these ideals. These accolades recognize the outstanding accomplishments of NSU faculty members in research, scholarship, and creative endeavors across various disciplines and career stages.
Research and scholarship lie at the heart of NSU's mission, nurturing intellectual curiosity and fostering a dynamic learning atmosphere. The PRSA honors faculty members who epitomize excellence in scholarly pursuits, making significant contributions to their respective fields of study. These endeavors enrich education, advance patient care, and promote public service, which reflects NSU's commitment to exceptional scholarship.
The PRSA awards acknowledge distinguished achievements in research, creativity, and scholarly activities, which fall under two broad disciplinary categories: Arts, Business, Humanities, Law, and Social Sciences; and STEM and Health/Medicine. Eligible applicants within these categories can apply as either Professors or Associate Professors for the "Established Faculty" award or as Assistant Professors for the "Early Career" award. We plan to grant up to four PRSA awards annually if we receive sufficient candidates in each category.
