Dual Admission

What is Dual Admission?

The Dual Admission Program was pioneered by NSU for a select group of highly motivated students who have maintained a laser focus on their career goals from an early age. As a qualified student in the Dual Admission program, you're automatically reserved a seat in one of NSU's graduate or professional schools while you earn your bachelor's degree. In today's competitive world, that's like getting a head start on the rest of your life.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

Eligibility for Dual Admission is determined at the time students are accepted for admission into the undergraduate program. Each Dual Admission major is unique and has its own eligibility requirements. Only first-time freshmen are eligible to apply for Dual Admission programs in the health professions.

When are the Deadlines?

All Dual Admission applicants must be accepted to the university prior to review of supplemental applications for the Dual Admission Program. All supplemental application materials (including test scores, letters of recommendation, essays, and transcripts) must be received prior to Dual Admission application review.

The Dual Admission Program has a priority application deadline of February 1 for the Fall term start. The final deadline is March 15. Dual Admission seats for some programs, will fill prior to the final deadline. All qualifying candidates submitting completed applications by the priority deadline will be considered.

We encourage all students interested in the Dual Admission Program to apply early in the start of their high school senior year to meet all necessary deadlines.

Dual Admission applicants interested in beginning in the winter semester have a deadline of November 1. Only a limited number of Dual Admission Programs offer winter semester start.
