My main responsibility is supervising the day-to-day facility operations of the Oceanographic Center. My tasks are diverse and include: account payables for vendor payments and employee reimbursements, purchase orders for our research labs and offices, ensuring that buildings are maintained and repaired, grounds are manicured, housekeeping is performed, and to provide students, faculty and staff with assistance in areas related to facility operations. Other tasks include, but are not limited to, shipping/receiving, worker injuries, overseeing special events setups and breakdowns, meeting room scheduling, and coordinating OC security needs. My goal is to provide our students, faculty and staff with a clean, safe and efficient facility to enable them to work, research, and learn in an optimal environment.
