Mapping the Heavens: Andreas Cellarius’ Harmonia Macrocosmica

Local collector Neal Asbury has built an important antiquarian map collection featuring maps from the 15th century onward depicting historical subjects and far flung areas of the world as well as the heavens.
One of the treasures in the Asbury Family collection is a full set of the sky charts from Andreas Cellarius’ Harmonia Macrocosmica, printed in 1661, an atlas of the heavens. Learn more about this important work and take a tour of the heavens.
