Who We Help

The NSU Sport Psychology Program provides individual counseling services as well as group or team consultation and interventions services to adolescents and adults. We welcome those who care about their health, their athletic performance, and the effective use of their mind as well as their body in the pursuit of performance excellence.
The primary objectives of the NSU Sport Psychology Program are to:

  1. Teach athletes, coaches, and teams about the effective use of psychological skills to optimize their athletic or artistic performances.
  2. Provide athletes, performers, and sport medicine professionals with alternative treatment options as they or their clients recover from physical injury.
  3. Help diagnose, treat, and make return-to-play decisions for athletes who suffer sport-related concussions or suffer mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBI) during athletic participation.

Individual and group sessions are offered within the NSU Sport Psychology Program. For information about fees or third-party payments, please call the NSU Sports Medicine Clinic directly at (954) 262-5590.
