Reasonably priced and covered by most insurance providers, each service is backed by extensive research and the very latest teachings, ensuring you will get the best optometric care.

This specialty evaluates and manages patients with brain injury, autism and other neurological deficits. Our optometric physicians provide visual rehabilitative therapy and a comprehensive evaluation of the visual changes associated with a history of traumatic brain injury.

We provide medical diagnosis and treatment for patients with advanced ocular diseases using the latest technology and instrumentation. Our leading optometric physicians are committed to protecting and preserving your vision. We also assist local eye care specialists in co-management.

The Eye Care Institute at NSU Health provides clinical care for patients who require specialty contact lens care or who have been unsuccessful in previous attempts to wear contact lenses. Consultations, referrals, pre- and post-operative co-management for refractive surgery are also provided.

Visit The Eye Care Institute for emergency eye care services, available 24 hours a day/7 days a week for patients with eye injuries, acute ocular diseases and other emergent eye conditions.

Receive affordable care for complicated or advanced glaucoma. We employ the most current diagnostic technologies to accurately diagnose and manage patients with glaucoma and those suspected of having glaucoma.

The Eye Care Institute at NSU Health is dedicated to helping visually impaired patients who cannot be managed through medical or surgical treatment. We prescribe special optical, non-optical and electronic devices to permit the best use of remaining residual vision. We assist patients in attaining the highest level of independent living possible given their visual limitations.

The Eye Care Institute at NSU provides comprehensive eye care for infants and children 12 years of age and under, along with individuals of all ages with binocular vision disorders such as amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (eye turn) and eye tracking problems. Vision therapy and visual perceptual therapy train and enhance visual-motor and/or perceptual-cognitive deficiencies. Receive evaluations tailored to your child’s own visual needs, even if they are pre-verbal or non-verbal.

As the largest service, primary eye care is designed to meet the ocular and visual needs of patients ages 13+. The comprehensive exams include: refractive and binocular vision assessment, ocular health examination, management of eye diseases and hypertensive and diabetic eye evaluations.

Get evaluated for retinal conditions caused by diabetes, high blood pressure, chronic medication use, macular degeneration and trauma. Our optometric physicians use advanced technology and work with your primary care doctors to ensure all your health care and eye care needs are met.

The Eye Care Institute at NSU Health performs eye examinations on individuals of any age with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (ID/DD). Staffed by residency trained optometric physicians, our services include: evaluation for an eyeglass prescription, depth perception, ocular health, eye teaming and tracking skills.

We diagnose, treat and enhance sports performance visual skill deficits. Following a sports related traumatic brain injury (concussion), we rehabilitate eye-teaming, focusing and visual tracking skills. Vision rehabilitation at SVCC focuses on reducing post-concussion visual symptoms, earlier return-to-play or return-to-learn and improved visual skills for enhanced sports performance.

This service offers a comprehensive range of electrodiagnostic testing, performed in accordance with the International Society for Clinical Electro-Physiology of Vision. We also conduct ongoing research about how the function of the visual pathway is affected by disease processes.
