CHCS Newsletter Purpose
The purpose of the CHCS Newsletter is to:
- Promote a sense of identity and family within the College
- Recognize outstanding student, faculty and program achievements within the College.
- Connect and involve faculty, staff, students, and alumni in opportunities for community engagement and learning.
- Provide resources and information that support student, staff, and faculty development and success.
In an effort to achieve our purpose, we invite each college to share updates for the following areas:
CHCS Family Updates: This section provides updates about weddings, births, new faculty and staff, alumni, and anything noteworthy about individuals in the college.
Dean's list and Chancellors list: Please send a list of students who made the Dean's and Chancellor's List.
Points of Pride: Please share information about anything your program is doing or has accomplished that makes the college shine. This can include program, faculty, or student achievements. Examples include exam pass rates, grants, achievements, special recognitions, innovative teaching methods, community contributions, etc. Please provide pictures, if possible.
Alumni Spotlight: Our goal is to highlight alumni who are making a positive difference in their profession and community, and thereby, supporting the mission of the college. This submission should be two to five paragraphs in length and should include a picture of the alumnus.
CHCS Campus Life: The goal is to highlight upcoming event/program information as well as any updates (preferably with pictures) about past events or programs. Make sure to include dates, times and contact information when possible. This section is designed to promote college engagement and interdisciplinary connections.
Newsletter Submission deadlines are:
- Summer Issue: May 1
- Fall Issue: August 15
- Spring Issue: December 10
