Albert E.M. Coombs, MA, PA-C
A native Philadelphian, Professor Coombs served a 38 year career in the United States Navy. While in the Navy he was given the opportunity to attend George Washington University's Physician Assistant Program graduating in 1984. He continued his education at Arcadia University earning a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 1992.
During his career in the Navy he held a number of critical positions to include Medical Service Corps Specialty Leader for the USN Physician Assistant Community as well as being the Senior PA at the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis as his last tour of duty. Professor Coombs is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, a member of the American Counseling Association, a life member of the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States, a life member of the Association of Medical Service Corps Officers of the Navy, and a life member of the Naval Reserve Association. He joined staff of the NSU SWFL PA program in December 2006, after retiring from active duty, as the Clinical Director.
