Vicenta Montgomery MMS, PA-C
Professor Montgomery joined the staff at Nova Southeastern University as an adjunct professor in November 2010 while also working as a physician assistant in a gastrointestinal specialty practice. Given that she has an educational background and a long-standing love for teaching, it was not long before she made the transition to full-time faculty in March 2011.
Professor Montgomery has previously spent over 10 years in the healthcare field in the Orlando area as a sonographer. During which time, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Vocational Education and Industry Training from the University of Central Florida. Additionally, she enjoyed spending over 5 years as an adjunct instructor for the sonography program at Valencia Community College.
Professor Montgomery is a proud graduate of the physician assistant program at Nova Southeastern University - Ft. Lauderdale and is happy to now be a part of the Nova Southeastern University family as an educator. Her other previous clinical experiences as a physician include a vascular sub-specialty practice as well as emergency medicine at a level-one trauma center. She also continues to maintain her credentialing as a certified physician assistant, a registered diagnostic medical sonographer and a registered vascular technologist.
Professor Montgomery is happily married to her supportive husband Eric. Together they were overjoyed with the birth of their son in 2010 and continue to enjoy time together as a family. She also treasures time with her wonderful family and friends.
