John Long, MD
Dr. Long attended Indiana University-Perdue University at Indianapolis majoring in Psychology. He graduated from the George Washington University, Washington D.C., earning the degree Doctor of Medicine in 1987. He completed an internship in General Surgery at the Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C., and completed residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center-Jacksonville in 1994, also serving as Chief Resident. He became a diplomat of the National Board of Emergency Medicine in 1995, and was elected a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Long has been in clinical practice in Jacksonville, Florida, with an appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Mayo Clinic-Jacksonville.
Dr. Long was appointed Medical Director of NSU PA Jacksonville January 2009.
