Physician Assistant Program - Ft. Myers

Welcome to the fully accredited Physician Assistant Program - Ft. Myers, part of Nova Southeastern University's College of Health Care Sciences. The program is housed in a state of the art, 60,000 square foot facility, in Ft. Myers, Florida, conveniently located at exit 136 (Colonial Boulevard) off of I-75 in Fort Myers.

The PA Department is also pleased to offer a PA/MPH Concurrent Degree Program providing an opportunity for students to attain an MPH degree in addition to the entry-level Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant degree. Information regarding this opportunity can be reviewed here

The Physician Assistant (PA) Program Ft. Myers is based upon the successful model of the Fort Lauderdale program, which has been continuously accredited since its inception in 1993. The NSU PA Program Ft. Myers currently has 10 full time faculty members with a maximum enrollment of 54 students, offering a low student to faculty ratio.

The program strives to meet its mission and goals. We work towards producing competent primary care physician assistants, improving the health care delivery of underserved areas, and promoting the physician assistant profession. See our Mission, Goals & Outcomes.

Professional Licensure Disclosure Statement: The Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences Physician Assistant Program in Ft. Myers is an Accreditation Review Commission for Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) accredited program of study. At this time, we have determined that the Physician Assistant Program meets the educational degree completion requirements for licensure in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the US protectorates, as defined in 34 CFR §600.2.

It is nonetheless strongly encouraged that students determine any additional requirements for licensure in the state in which they seek to be licensed. Students should refer to their state licensing bodies for complete information pertaining to requirements for licensure.
