Laurieann Robinson

NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY was Laurieann Robinson's first choice to study business.

Her dream is to attend law school and study corporate law. After graduation, she and her sister plan to open a private venture capitalist firm. "It was always our grandmother's dream to start a small business and see it grow. We want to continue that dream."

Robinson is a leader, both at NSU and in her community. She is a member of the NSU organizations Ablaze, Rotaract, and Alpha Kappa Psi. She is also youth secretary of her church, working to incorporate youth programming into church activities.

However, she faces the challenges faced by many NSU students. "NSU is known for its high academic standards as well as its commitment to the community. Time management can be difficult if you want to be active on campus and still maintain good grades."

Tuition is another obstacle; Robinson is grateful for the Razor's Edge scholarship that facilitates her attendance at NSU. "I would like to thank those at NSU who gave me a chance."
