Christie Cardellino, O.D. ’09 is a newly licensed Doctor of Optometry and serves patients at the Robinson and South Hills Village eyetique locations as well as 3Guys Optical in Oakland. She has recently joined Eyetique, which has expanded their workforce by 20% in the several months and now has 10 locations.

Kenneth Christopher, D.P.A. ’99 was granted tenure by Park University Board of Trustees. Christopher is assistant professor of criminal justice administration and assistant dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Kansas City, Mo.

Delores Datcher, Ed.D.’98 was honored by Verizon at a statewide Black History Month celebration and open house in February with government and community leaders at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture. During the program, Verizon recognized Marylanders who are involved in community service, education and health care.

Manu Leila Davidson, J.D. ’03 has named a Partner in Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell’s Miami office.Davidson practices in the areas of product liability, commercial/business litigation, insurance coverage, appellate, casualty and employment matters in state and federal court. She represents manufacturers of recreational vehicles and industrial equipment in matters involving catastrophic injuries. She also represents corporate clients in a variety of commercial matters including construction, commercial landlord-tenant and breach of contract disputes.

Patricia Klem, D.O. ’03 has developed elure, an Advanced Skin Lightening™ system. It is now considered the leading solution in hyperpigmentation.

David Larson, Ed.D. ’02 will take the helm this summer of Glenbard Township High School District 87 as superintendent. Larson was previously a superintendent at Birmingham Public Schools in Michigan and Harbor Springs Public Schools in Michigan. 

Alan Mohler, B.S. ’04 was recently hired by Inktel Contact Center Solutions, a leading business process outsourcer specializing in inbound and outbound contact center services, as a Site Director. Mohler, an industry veteran, with over 25 years of experience in customer service and contact center management, will be responsible for all contact center operations at Inktel's headquarters.

Denise Nieman, J.D. ’86 has published a self help book Rock the World Rehab: A 4-Step "Get Red Carpet Ready" Body+Mind+Heart+Soul Detox Adventure Starring You!” A chronic journal writer, she started the book while investigating ways to rid her own life of toxic emotions and habits. Her book’s zippy prescriptions for diet, exercise and exorcising "energy vampires from our lives" will help people discover their best selves along with a helping of joie de vivre, she hopes.

Brian “B.C.” Oulman, O.D. ’08 has joined Broadway Eyecare Center in Spokane Valley as an optometric physician. He holds a degree from Nova Southeastern University’s College of Optometry, with honors in the Pediatric and Binocular Vision section and specialty training in glaucoma.

Shewanda Pugh Garner, Ed.D. ’10 Nova Southeastern University graduate and novelist, Shewanda Pugh, goes where few dare in her interracial romance debut: a black heroine and Japanese-American hero in her novel, Crimson Footprints. Since the December 2011 release in print, Pugh has been nominated for two prestigious awards, the AAMBC Reader’s Choice Award and the NBBF Best New Author Award. She is now a semi-finalist for both.

John Rodstrom, J.D. ’78 has joined Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. as Managing Director – National Public Finance. Rodstrom will assume responsibility for expanding Oppenheimer's public finance bond capabilities nationwide. He has many years of experience across a variety of bond structures including hospital, energy, charter schools and a variety of other transactions. He will work out of Oppenheimer's Fort Lauderdale office and will report to Albert Lowenthal, Chief Executive Officer of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. 

Julio Valle, Ed.D. ’10 and M.S. 03 has recently been named 2011 Latino Who's Who.
