Admissions Ambassadors 2015-2016

Sumayyah Abiff is a senior Biology pre-med student who is involved in Caribbean Student Association where she currently holds the Presidency. She is also involved in two academic based programs outside of going to her pre-med courses. She is welcoming to all students, visitors and staff member. She will use her welcoming personality and love for NSU to bond and connect with prospective students and their families.

Jake Bence is a sophomore, chemistry major from Tampa and is in Razor’s Edge is an active participant in MAKO crew which is like NSU’s version of Make-A-Wish. He also helped create the NSU Power Rangers organization. As a freshmen he was well-known around campus because of his many involvements and interpersonal skills.

Victoria Kendig is a sophomore environmental science major from West Carrollton, Ohio, who is a proud member of nature club and was a student site leader in the SLCE office. One goal she has as an Admissions Ambassador is to make sure that students coming on campus have a clear idea whether NSU is the right school for them. She will put the prospective student and their family first and help them with anything they need.

Julia Kolowski is a sophomore Biology Pre-Dental student from Cheshire, Connecticut. She is involved with a variety of organizations and is looking to grow her leadership experience. Being a constant role model to her means that you have to be the face of NSU, which means never to be down or negative!

Linda Kornienko is a tennis player for the 4th year in a row at NSU, and is a member of three of honors societies and keeps up her Biology studies. She wants to be an admissions ambassador because she wants to have a direct impact on potential students’ decisions to come to NSU and is originally from Cape Coral, Florida!

Jennifer Minogue is a sophomore Communication and Psychology student from Levittown, New York. She is involved in Razor’s edge, ultimate Frisbee, nature club and the pre-vet club. She is a very enthusiastic individual who would not only sell the school to the students, but incorporate them into the NSU culture even after they leave campus.

Rebecca Quinn is from Levittown, New York and is a senior marine biology major but that’s not it, she has two minors that are not related to marine biology, one of them being dance, the other bioinformatics. Her love for NSU encouraged her to get involved in six organizations; some academic and some social organizations.

Brianna Reeves has been in love with NSU since 3rd grade, and is now a sophomore here! Besides being an elementary education major, she is minoring in leadership and Spanish. She is involved in Razor’s Edge, a proud member of President’s 64 and is the President of the American Association of University Women. Shark pride is written all over her face whenever she talks about NSU and what the school can provide to anyone!

Parker Sheppard is a sophomore Exercise Science student who founded MAKO Crew and co-founded the NSU Power Rangers organization in his first semester on NSU’s campus. He wants to build those relationships with prospective students to encourage them to come to NSU and continue those relationships once they are here.

Casey Skomer is a sophomore Criminal Justice/Psychology student who is from Toledo, Ohio. Casey is involved in a variety of social organizations and academic clubs, and is looking to have leadership roles in the very near future when elections come around. Her outgoing, positive personality is always noticed by the prospective students and families that come on tour!

Pavan Tilokani is a Business Administration and Finance transfer student from Beverly Massachusetts, but originally from Curacao. He quickly got involved in NSU to meet more people and improve himself academically. Pavan will use his personal skills, knowledge of multiple languages (Dutch, English, Spanish and pappimento) and humor to give a warm welcome to new people, and encourage them to come back.

Robert Willis is a junior business administration and finance major. He is heavily involved in his fraternity FIJI, Economics and Finance Association, as well as President’s 64. He is extremely enthusiastic about NSU and has a passion developing relationships with new people, and will use that to connect families and prospective students to NSU.
